We the people, the Indian Americans, Indian diaspora, and the Indians want to see the name of our motherland in the list of top ten civilized nations, top five prosperous countries, top five nations that respect civil rights, honor human rights and practice freedom of religion, assembly, speech and media among other liberties.

As Indian-Americans, we want the best for our motherland, India. It’s a 5000 years old civilization of respecting the otherness of the other and accepting each other’s differences. Our sages assert that all rivers merge into the ocean, and all families of religions preach the same essence. This syncretic civilization of India is a product of pleasant interactions between Adivasis, Atheists, Bahais, Buddhists, Christians, Dalits, Hindus, Jains, Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, Tribals, Zoroastrians, and others. We are proud of our humble heritage.

We have risen and fallen a few times in our history. At one time, we were one large nation under Maurya and Ashoka then splintered into thousands of little states. Akbar consolidated them again in the 16th century into one large India after a lapse of nearly 1500 years.

India’s economy was lifted from a poor country in 1947 to one of the top ten economies today, thanks to the cumulative progress made in the last 70 years, particularly the effort of the previous prime ministers. We are grateful to Dr. Manmohan Singh, the architect of India’s massive development.

Before the British came to India, India had garnered 25% of the World’s GDP during Mogul times, we were called the Sonay ki Chidiya – that is the Golden bird.

Mr. Modi is sadly brainwashed to believe that the Muslims were invaders. Nopes, he is wrong.  Except for the first Mogul, that is Babar, all were sons of the soil, they were not foreigners, they were born and raised in India, as Indians, just like Modi, you and I. All their wealth was put into development of India, no monies or resources were siphoned off to some other country as the British colonists did. The only country they had was India.  Modi needs to correct his false narrative that promotes hatred towards a group of Indians instead of building harmony. This is not how you build a cohesive India.

Under Modi, in five years, the 5000 years of goodness is in peril now.

Since Modi-Shaw duo took over the power in 2014, India is on the decline in civility, development, employment, and more importantly social cohesion. They have committed blunders; they forgave their friends billions of dollars of loans while letting the poor farmers commit suicides for non-payment of debts, the duo did not care about the ordinary Indians. They gave billion-dollar contracts to their friends without bids and are bent on destroying the established Governmental institutions. It’s all Nepotism. The General Sales Tax application was disastrous to small businesses, then came the Note Bandi, which hurt every Indian, particularly the middle and low-income groups. The Homebuilding industry was killed by their demonetization. The duo is taking Indian down the spiral of destruction. The revocation of article 370 and the Citizens Amendment Bill goes against the constitution. The consent of the people is a critical test of democracy, which Modi-Shah has thrown away, and an economic and social disaster is in the waiting.

Now, the Modi Sarkar has declared 1.9 Million people to be stateless, most of them are people dislocated in the 1971 war that created Bangladesh. The Citizens Amendment bill allows all those who are Hindus, Christians, Jains, and Buddhists will be given Indian Citizenship, and the Muslims will be sent to detention camps. This one act has lowered the status of India as the less than a civilized nation. Shame on the reckless policies of Modi-Shah.

Modi needs to cut the crap out – if he can just sit out and do nothing and finish his term, the country will remain in its progressive trajectory. His experiments are destructive.

The state department may put a label on India as a country of particular concern for the gross violations of religious freedom, if that happens, the global corporations will hesitate to invest in India. Foreign investments will dwindle if there is instability in the country.

The biggest losers will be all the Indians who have seen riches in the last twenty years. They stand to lose. The IT industry and its employees will be hurt severely if they don’t rise up and stop the Modi bulldozer of the economy.

Mr. Modi is ripping the saree of our motherland, pitting one Indian against the other, sadistically enjoying lynchings of fellow Indians, and now making nearly 2 million Indians stateless.

Modi should resign

It is time to demand resignation from Modi before he destroys the economy and the social fabric of the nation and hold the elections and bring leaders who will unite Indians. We have a patriotic duty to stop him and save our motherland.

There are two types of Indians:

1. The Sycophants – those who toe the government line as if the acts of the given government are equal to acts of God. They do not tolerate any criticism of Government and they also equate Government with India, and India with Modi. These brain-deficient men are trained to parrot the phrase Anti-National to anyone who wants to correct the government mistakes.
2. The Responsible citizens – those who recognized that the Government is run with the consent of its citizens, and clearly see three separate identities of India, Government, and Modi – To them Modis, Singhs, Gandhis and Nehrus come and go. They believe criticism of the people who run government is the right thing to do, to keep them in checks and not let them become arrogant.

The first step towards a solution is to look up to all the prosperous nations – only those nations where freedom of speech, faith, assembly, press, and protests exist are successful. We need to emulate such models to uplift ourselves, instead of looking at the failed nations and mirror them.

The second step is for the Indians and Indian-Americans to be loyal to the idea of India, and do what is right for India. The social cohesiveness – Sab ka Saath is crucial to maintain the stability of the nation. Sadly, the slogan “Sab ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas” is a Modi invention, but he never meant it. Some of the Indians are afraid of the government as they see the evil designs of the duo. Yet, some want other Indians to be wiped out, shame on you for such evil thoughts.

The third step is to consider not worshipping temporary men. Loyalty to cult leaders like Modi is meaningless as they come and go, and, on the way, they destroy the goodness built over thousands of years.

Finally, protests will make a difference. We cannot let India’s prestige be soiled by Modi-Shaw lawlessness. The public needs to keep up and fight for freedom and restore India back to the top of the civilized nations.

I hope you are Mukt from revenge or and getting-even-mode. We need to focus on Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas. We want to restore trust in society, we want all Indians to come together, and we want the best for India. Modi won’t do it, and he is in for the lust of control and power.

Modi wants us to fight with each other – like a dumb man, he does not say anything after rapes, lynching or killings – he will say a few words if the public outrage increases.

The more his thugs harass and kill fellow Indians, the happier he would be. If we fight with each other, he gets to control them all. Divide and rule is his policy. Let him do what he knows, and let us do what we know, to come together and open our hearts and minds towards each other and rebuild the nation with ill-will towards none.

I hope Modi restores genuine freedom to the people of Kashmir and repeals the uncivil Citizens Amendment Act. This has got to go.
