Severe Questions for Romney

Comments Off on Severe Questions for Romney
Republican Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney did deliver a good speech; indeed I remained connected with him throughout the speech. It sounded great, but not sure if it is merely a talk like Obama’s good talk four years ago.
Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney – Republican nominess

I have some sever questions for Mr. Romney, his answers might change the minds of many like me, I am a Moderate Republican who has reluctantly chosen to vote for Obama, not because he
is any better, but because he will do least harm to the nation between the two
of them. I wish I had more choices.

I shudder with the thought of America, had
McCain become the president, I know Mr. McCain’s proclivities and itching for
war,  and eagerness to show them boys who
we are, he would have gone to war with Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt and Syria.
No doubt Libya would have been carpet bombed and burned to the ground, but it
would have ruined America, more than the Iraq war has done to us. At least I
have an America now that did not run aground with Obama’s foreign policy.

Do you know what the useless wars have done to us?  Not you Mr. Romney, you are secure in your
safe havens, but a majority of Americans are not – 43 Million of us.  McCain would have destroyed all of Libya and
Egypt, but more than that he would have destroyed us Americans in order to get just
one idiot Gaddafi or save one dictator Mubarak. Thank God, we have a president who got the
looney Bin Laden without the collateral damage to anyone. Can you outperform Obama in Syria and Iran?
Mr. Romney, you are itching for a war with Iran, and to gain momentary support
from a few, you will destroy everyone in the process including our allies. We
have a history of setting up that precedent ten years ago. When was the last
time CIA or Mossad had provided absolutely reliable information to justify a damned war?

War will do more harm to us than the ones we intend to afflict, unless they are
just wars like preventing Nazis from annihilating Jews, preventing Serbs from
cleansing Muslims and preventing Saddam form usurping Kuwait.  Spend that damned money in friendships instead
of aggravating hostilities and keeping everyone in tension. When we are
friends, we are less likely to harm the other, but when we are enemies, both of
us will have the will to be evil.

Your success is inspiring, and I hope it will be replicated around America.
However, I have a few severe
questions for you.
  • Mitt, will you truly run America as a business?
  • Mitt, do you know when to fold and when to run?
  • Mitt, would you go to a war if it means deaths of thousands of fellow Americans?
  • Mitt, would you let a war run up our debt and deficits and ruin the nation?
  • Mitt, would you cut our allies off, if they become a burden on us?
  • Mitt, would you honor the inalienable rights of individual whom they marry?
  • Mitt, would you preserve the in-alienable rights of women, should they decide not to carry the baby out of incest or rape?
  • Mitt, would you stand up for every American’s freedom of Religion?
  • Mitt, do you have the balls to change the Republican platform?
  • Mitt, would you let an American die because he or she cannot afford to pay?
  • Mitt, are you another politician in the guise of a business man?
  • Mitt, how do I know you will do all this?

Mitt, I am not sure if I can trust
you with people’s lives, because life is not a business.

Best and Worst of Republican Convention Speeches

Comments Off on Best and Worst of Republican Convention Speeches

I will give an A to Paul Ryan, if he can lean towards the Moderate majority, I will give him an A+.  It was stunning speech.

He offered one of the best explanations on the faith differential between
Romney and him. This is advancement in Republican thinking and I am glad to see them
catch up with the idea of Pluralism, maybe it is just Ryan, and I hope he means
it for the whole nation and not just a convention talk.

Ryan
delivered the best lines about small business people working 7 days a week to
make it happen, it seemed credible.  Acknowledging
his mother as a role model was wonderful.
One
of the best lines on Republicanism was, “We chose to limit the government
rather than the economy.”  Indeed, it was
a powerful statement and rekindled the dying Republican flame in me; it was a
strong Republican principle, but has become a rhetoric with the Republican
leadership now.

Ryan
nearly lied when he said; Obama wants them to give credit to government for
their success, Obama did not say that, neither has Obama said a few other
things that Ryan was trying to ascribe to him. Ryan did not have to risk his credibility by resorting to half truths.
My
suggestion to Ryan is to keep the Radical Republicans like Huckabee,
Santorum, Gingrich, Rove, Cheney and Cain miles away. And don’t attack
Obama, it will be a losing proposition, build it on your own, you have the
ideas to build upon.

Had it been for McCain,  he would have screwed it up by going to war in Egypt, Libya, Iran, Syria and elsewhere, it is a guaranteed way of weakening America. He was humping and itching to go to war, and had we listened to him, we would have seen more body bags of fellow Americans, increased debt crisis, alienation from the world and a weak America at the end. Thank God for Obama’s reluctance, it has prevented a major disaster from happening to America.

Ryan said a few good things, he may have meant it, but he has to prove it.  A civilized nation is where the “strong
protects the weak”. If you ask that question to women, gays, lesbians, Muslims,
and immigrants – they will call him a hypocrite. He may not be, but the
company he keeps are.

Despite his destructive foreign policy approach, McCain is good for America if his policy is contained to our borders, I expected McCain to deliver a good speech, and he did. At times I felt he was not himself, and was atttempting to give what the conditioned Republican crowd wanted; drums of war and machoism.

Huckabee’s bigotry comes right through, and I did not want to listen to his whole speech. He called himself
a loser and rightly so. Tim Pawlenty was
never strong, Chris Christie was a major disappointment as I was expecting him to deliver a powerful speech, he dampened the Republican flame in me, it was an opportunity for him to straighten the Republicans.
Ann
Romney was graceful and her brief message communicated a whole lot about her
leanings for a family life, she is a very likable woman, someone you can call a
sister.
Condi
Rice gave a good outline of history and made me almost cry. When she said that
during the tense times in Alabama, her mother had said, you can be anything you
want to be including the president of the United States, that girl went on to
become the Secretary of the United States. Great speech, however her hawkish approach
to foreign policy did harm our standing in the community of nations. They may
have feared us, but did not respect us.
Susana
Martinez’s story was powerful! The Republican in her greeted the Republican
in me.

The speakers did bring diversity to the podium, but it was not there in
the audience and does not reflect in their platform. I see a brighter future for Republicans when the old guard fades away.

Nikki Haley was poised, her speech was well
punctuated, thought out, and delivered with style and great applause lines, and she wore
a non-stop graceful smile. Although I do not agree with her subtle political Obama bashing,
which is what the convention crowd wants to hear;  and she gave it to them. Hers
was the best introduction of Mitt Romney so far, and she can make Romney look
like a man with a heart. If Ryan does not make it, she ought to consider
running for President in 2016; she has got great communication skills like
Reagan and Obama. She just needs to move to the center, and bring Americans
Together. We are sick of Republicans who speak from two parts of the body.
Regardless
of the good speeches, Romney and Ryan need to be fair and equitable to fellow
Americans. Women must have the freedom to choose and not let their Republican Government
tell them what they can do with their bodies, Freedom to practice one’s
religion is lip service by the Republican leadership and we need an
immigration reform.

They (mind you, not the Republicans, but the right wingers) need to quit being
racist. I lost Romney when he said, they don’t ask my birth certificate because
they know I am from here. If I look Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Arab or
African, then I am not born here and they can ask for my birth certificate, right?  Mr. Romney get over that crap and apologize to
Obama, me and all non-white Americans, we are Americans, you may not know it,
but that was a damned racist statement.

If
the Republicans are betting on going it alone and counting on their “base”, as
they have pointed out that Obama has a base, that is baloney, Obama’s base is
every American  just as yours. Don’t make an attempt to fool Americans, we are far
more advanced than the fringe group among Republicans.
I
do hope the moderate Republicans put their foot down for the good of the
nation, and I am doing my part. If Ryan can reign in on extremists among
Republicans, like the example set by McCain and Powell, I may change my mind,
but right now, Obama is the least bad choice than these two.
Mike Ghouse is a Moderate Republican, who hopes that the Moderate Republicans start speaking up bring some sense to the ruling minority of right wingers.

A log of  Romeny Articles I have written:

I have written good many articles about Romney and mentioning about him. He was my hope until August 25, 2012, but I have lost him. He is too much business, people don’t mean much to him.  I was surprised that I have written nearly 30 pieces

It started in June 2011 and runs thru, the latest one is at the bottom

    The

Texas Faith; What would you like to hear Obama and Romney say in their convention speeches?

Comments Off on Texas Faith; What would you like to hear Obama and Romney say in their convention speeches?

From January 2008 through March 2009, I have followed Obama’s speeches, indeed, I wrote about him in advance and he spoke similar words. He is a pluralist, an inclusivist who respects the given space of every human being that God has placed on the earth.  More about him and 40 articles I have written about him are linked below.

He is going to speak at the convention and I am going to write a mock speech and hoping his speech would have many elements from my speech. I will write a full speech hoping it would be similar to his real speech, as it has been in the past. Here is a sample at Dallas Morning News in today’s Texas faith column.

Texas Faith: What would you like to hear Obama and Romney say in their convention speeches?

MIKE GHOUSE, President, Foundation for Pluralism, Dallas

I hope President Obama delivers this speech to the nation.

Every day, I think about you, the 43 Million of my fellow
Americans, who are patiently enduring the pain of placing food on your tables,
and the sacrifices you are making daily to take care of your families.

As a society we have failed you in your pursuit of happiness,
we have failed to create an aggressive environment where you can find means of
earning a livelihood, and the fulfillment of a sense of responsibility to your
family.

I am deeply troubled by it, like millions of you, I was not
born with a silver spoon, and I understand your feelings. I am also thankful to
the almighty for giving you the humility, forbearance and courage to believe in
America. There is always the light at the end of the tunnel, that is indeed the
commonality of our faiths, and that is what gets us going forward.

As a nation, we have two priorities; your job and the well
being of you and your family.
We have a severe budget deficit, and we need funds to provide
temporary relief to fellow Americans to take care of their families until there
is a source of income for them. I will not let you down, and let you suffer
more than what you already have. I will fight with the congress not to cut
benefits to you.

By the way, Republicans are not wrong at all in reigning on spending, let me
correct this notion, it is  just not the
Republicans, but every Democrat and every American believes in that, and you as
an individual and a family lives within your means. Shouldn’t we?

We are all in this mess together, and as Americans we have a
moral responsibility to take care of each other with our basic needs, everyone
has to survive, not just the fittest ones with safe havens.

We have to raise funds or borrow it to survive until things get better.  The short term solution is to ask every able American
to continue to contribute in creating jobs, but also pay the same percent of
taxes as every American does, whether your income is moderate or beyond
imagination.

This paragraph is an add on, and not in the Morning News; If
you are making $48,000 a year, more than likely you will end up paying
$9,600.00 with 20% net tax rate, what if you pay $6,720 at 14% rate, would the
additional $2,880 help you pay the bills? Forget the luxury, will it help you
“survive” and take care of your family? You pay your taxes generously. If you
make $23 Million a year, and if you pay like everyone else, you will contribute
a fair share to the economy and we can pull it through equitably with the
shared pain.

We need to be a healthy nation to sustain productivity, investing
in your health through the health care reforms is the right thing to do, so you
can focus on productivity rather than spend time worrying about how to take
care of your loved ones.

We can stabilize our economy without repealing the good
things working for your future, and as your president, I want to leave you
prosperous, just like President Clinton did. Here are my specific plans and
hurdles I face for the next four years and I need your vote of confidence for
four more years.

MORE ABOUT OBAMA – MY PERSPECTIVES

At 10:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2008, history was made. Democratic candidate Barak Obama, an African American was declared winner of the Iowa caucus for the Democratic Party.  January 3, 2008 will be written as a golden day in the civic History of America. 97% of the nearly 3 Million Iowans are rural conservative white folks. On this day, they have fulfilled a larger dream for the world by choosing Obama in Iowa caucuses; it was a major leap in the annals of human civilization, where color of the Person or ethnicity did not matter. What he can do for the country mattered.

Since then I have written nearly 40 articles about him, have cheered for him, criticized him and held two rallies and voted for him in 2008. He has disappointed us, and to be fair, it could have been worse with McCain going to another war in Libya, Egypt and elsewhere to show off our might, but destroy America from within. What good is the war, when it weakens the average American family with a loss of job, home and his or her savings?  Obama had his domestic priorities screwed up. I did not want to vote for him this term, even though I liked him.

I was looking for a candidate among fellow Republicans; I was banking on Romney, the only non-extremist candidates among the few left, he looked good amidst them, but when he added Paul Ryan to his ticket, I waited with disappointment for some good statements and held out till Saturday, August 25, 2012 in vain. But when I saw the disgusting dishonest film about Obama on Saturday, I realized between two evils, my country is better off with lesser evil; Obama.

Gov. Christie back off on women's condescending issues, Romney-Ryan are not worth standing up for.

Comments Off on Gov. Christie back off on women's condescending issues, Romney-Ryan are not worth standing up for.

Loudmouth Christie needs to back off on women’s issue, unless the radical Republicans un-Talibanize themselves, if not he is doomed for embarrassment.
Christie is a rare Republican I agree with frequently, however, he is twisting the message and is being condescending to women.
What women want is for men to mind their own damned business, and not mess with their vagina’s, choice to abort the babies in dire necessity, marry a female if they want to, get paid equitably, not get legitimately raped, and be the clergy of any church, President of the United States or anything they want without anyone having a second thought that she is a woman.
Christie is right about not condescending to women, and I am with him, but we are lone voices in the madness of the right wingers among us Republicans. Women should seriously consider voting for the Republicans unless they back off in usurping women’s rights.
The Republican Party can discount looney Huckabee for backing another looney Akin, but what happens to the hens that will be guarded by Fox Ryan?
Does Ryan have any moral moorings to stand by his beliefs? He was against abortion in any case incest or rape, he co-sponsored that bill with Todd Akin, and now he is trying to wiggle out of it. God forbid, should something happen to Romney he will be the President and he wants to pass the buck to Romney? Congressman Ryan, have the audacity to be a Reaganite, the buck stops with you.
Governor Christie before you open your big mouth, please fix the loose mouth Republicans among us who are on a different drum beat. You don’t need to stick your neck, and be embarrassed with the Party’s stand. The leadership in Republican Party does not get it; they are driven by radicals faking in the guise of conservatism, they want to “impose” their will on America, like the Talibans in Afghanistan. Thanks to the moderate Republicans, who dumped some of them like Santorum, Gingrich, Cain and Bachman, more dumping is warranted.
Republican platform on women is not acceptable and shamefully we will lose the majority in the house if we don’t get our act together. Save the majority, and save the nation by keeping checks and balances intact, let go of Romney-Ryan, they are not worth standing up for.

President Obama Articles since 2008

64 PIECES ON OBAMA
JAN 2008 – NOV 5, 2012
A new folder will be opened
President Obama – II Term

LATEST ONE AT THE BOTTOM

I have been on a roller
coaster with him, finally have chosen to go with him for 2012, after giving
ample time and deliberations on Romney.

Cheers
for Obama:
He is
inclusive and has a pluralistic vision for America, indeed, I could write
speeches for him, as I have monitored his speeches and my writings in 2008-2009,
he nearly spoke the same thoughts and words that I had written earlier. I
relate with him, we both are inclusive and have a view of a cohesive world and
a cohesive America where no one has to fear the other. Hell, I was even
considered to be one of  his special envoys to the OIC, I wish it had gone
through even as a deputy, I would have initiated a positive change in
Middle East with recognition of Israel, security to Israel, justice to
Palestinians and saving our dollars with peace. This is a must and I am
committed to do my share of work as an individual.
Obama
is my mentor in Pluralism, yet, I would have dumped him for Romney, if he were
good for America, after due deliberations, I decided to go with Obama on
Saturday, August 25, 2012. The catalyst was the
false propaganda movie 2016 Obama’s America, and I have written about
it.

Jeers
for Obama
:
1. He
should have listened to Bill Clinton when the budget battle went on, he was too
consultative and did not bully it out causing credit downgrade, of course, it
was the Republicans, but he could have pushed it instead of pussy footing it.
2. He
blew an opportunity to bring eternal security to Israel by recognizing
Palestinian statehood, he messed it up badly with 2012 on his mind, I will not
forgive him on that, and all the sane Jews and sane Palestinians would not
either. Read the whole story.
3. His
priorities were goofed up, he should have focused on the Job creation first and
then on health reforms, I am supportive of health reforms, there is a full
article about it. But he screwed up a successful system, not to worry about it;
the health reform is here to stay.  We need a healthy America; it is as
much a priority of nation as a secure America.  The tall and deceptive claim by Romney that he will repeal Obama care on
day one is ludicrous, who is he bullshitting? Would an average American let
that go? That is not how systems work.
4. When
Republicans messed with Payroll tax deduct extension and the budget battle in
2011, he should have gone to the public, like Reagan had done, Republicans were
wrong, but he did not pressurize them, they did come around, after
going through shenanigans.
5. Obama Blew the first presidential debate, indeed, I was angry for such a blunder. Item # 45 below

    What happened in the

I have not missed the Al Smith Dinner
talk at Catholic Church in New York for three election cycles. Friends, this is
America, where the President and his challenge poke fun at each other in good
humor. Then there is another dinner where President invites the Media, that is a

If we look at these two men running
for office on the issues of Security, women, freedom economy, health care and
foreign policy, it makes it easy to consider voting for one of them. Romney’s
actions (listed below) will push America into Chaos and Regress it back to
Bush’s 2008 America, while Obama’s efforts will continue to bring stability to
    America. URL – http://nabsites.net/demo/chaotic-romney-versus-stabilizing-obama/

about the future of America as Iam now. We have gone through bad times, losing
jobs, foreclosure of homes, living on food stamps, budget deficit, sacrifice of
thousands of Americans in wars and devastation of other nations and deaths of
millions of civilians, and finally we have a grip on the situation and don’t

Romney did not lose the debate, but
Obama gained the points with independent voters. I watched the debate at
Angelica Theater in Dallas and it was hilarious, as the public was making

big laugh came when Romney said he believed in gender equality, rights for women

The Israelis must be laughing at these guys racing to prove who is loyal
to Israel. Jews need sincerity and not duplicity to feel secure. There
was another cartoon, where the candidates were in a competition, “who licks the
most” while Netanyahu was enjoying the service.

no reason to lie,” countered Ghouse, “Somebody didn’t communicate with the
President, the President has promised to go get the bad guys and he’ll do that.”

re-election narrative is that he’s defeated Al Qaeda and yet here they’re
killing our embassy and killing our Ambassador.”

    Congratulations to those who have
voted for Obama or Romney and urge you to go vote. Don’t let your friend’s

We can deal with the resolute Obama rather than a wishy-washy Romney with no convictions of being a moderate, liberal or conservative. As a moderate Republican, I was hoping for Mitt Romney to be our next president, but I am afraid he will repeal everything on his first day in the office; derail the stabilizing economy and job situation, mess with health security, control women’s freedom, be unkind towards gays and lesbians, and ignore the ones in ditches. Islamic Speakers Bureau, a blessing to Dallas/ Fort Worth

Comments Off on Islamic Speakers Bureau, a blessing to Dallas/ Fort Worth

The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Dallas/ Fort Worth conducted a speaker certification seminar at the East Plano Islamic Center,  I was one of the many participants, and it was a delight to sit in and learn about the program.

First of all, there is a dire need for an Islamic educational institution to recognize the roots of pluralism in Islam, and prioritize it as the need of the day. Unless we are a part of the society, and become participants and contributors in the overall Good of the society we live in, we would remain on the fringe. I am glad ISB has taken up the initiative to facilitate participation.
Secondly, it was a pleasant surprise to see well developed systems in place to build genuine bridges between Muslim Americans and fellow Americans.
The training classes were conducted by Br. Syed Ali and Sr. Alia Salem, with additional instructions from Br. Hazim and a talk by Imam Nadim Bashir. Each one of them was amazing. It is a sea change in Muslim expressions, pluralism in Islam was always there, thank God, it is  organized and presented in Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex now. The Islamic Speakers Bureau is an affiliate of ING, and as I understand the ING (Islamic networking group) is doing this work for the last 23 years. You can simply Google Muslim Speaker and find the various offices across the nation.
This organization is built on a strong foundation based on the Religious Liberty Clauses of the First Amendment, “Congress shall make no law establishing religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” and the verse from Quran 49:13, “ O humankind, We created you from a male and a female, and We made you into races and tribes for you to get to know each other. The most noble of you in the sight of God are those of you who are most conscientious. And God is omniscient, fully aware.”
The ISB strictly adheres and lives within the boundaries set by the First Amendment and it’s
vision is a world in which people of all religious backgrounds are understood, respected, and their contributions valued. Its mission is to promote interreligious understanding, tolerance and harmony through dialogue and religious literacy.
This was coming home for me; we have been speaking and writing about Pluralism since 1996, when many did not even know how to pronounce the word. Indeed, the World Muslim Congress, a think tank and a discussion forum with over 1700 members was established in 2003 along with the Foundation for Pluralism to study pluralistic societies and monitor interfaith trends.  Islamic Scholars, Imams and folks like you and I, along with many from Christian, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, and other faiths have been a part of this ongoing learning experience. Discussions are open and all opinions are valued.
The driving engine for the organization was the verse from Quraan 49:13. It is a clear guidance to find solutions. The world is fraught with issues and conflicts because we do not know each other, and have built up myths about the other, and when we learn and know each other, conflicts fade and solutions emerge. It is such a coincidence that both the organizations have similar mission and  vision.
I admired Syed Ali, Alia Salem, Br. Hazim and Imam Nadim Bashir for their non-stop insistence to stick with the approved text and avoid wandering away from it. It was a delight to hear them hammer on the First Amendment; no preaching, absolutely no preaching, not even a hint of preaching. I loved Sister Alia’s humorous threat, “I grade your papers, and if I smell proselytizing, I will cut you off.” NO, she did not say those words, but it was a clear message to remain within the bounds.  It is a new paradigm for some Muslims, and it is a new experience for me to see a Muslim institution take this posture, it’s a dream come true for me and perhaps a majority of Muslims.
The greatest news is the road taken by our esteemed Imams of Dallas/ Fort Worth, who have chosen to go through the rigor of certification process, to deliver a consistent message of goodness; thank God it is happening now.  My first encounter with ISB was when I attended Islam 101 in Plano Masjid as an audit class. I would stand corrected but, I  believe Imam Zia Shaikh, Imam Nadim Bashir and  Imam Yaseen are certified speakers. My first encounter with  ISB and Imam Yaseen was  at Plano Masjid a few months ago.
The other part of the integrity of the organization was the emphasis they placed on your affiliation, if you are currently involved in any sort of missionary work, you cannot represent ISB, i.e., Islamic Speakers Bureau of ING. I value this and I am wholly invested in the idea. All my work was driven by finding the truth for myself and others, and in essence,  it was conflict mitigation and goodwill nurturing, the bottom line of Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) civic work.
Pluralism is one of the most mis-understood concepts, and at times shunned believing it to be a compromise, or giving up one’s identity or some sort of mesh mash. It is severely disappointing to see a few Muslims becoming judgmental. On the other hand, Muslims and non-Muslims alike should find the truth before they judge, truth comes from genuine inquiry.

At the Foundation for Pluralism,  we have defined Pluralism as “respecting the otherness of others and accepting the God given uniqueness of each one of us.” You will find the roots of it, in Prophet Muhammad’s numerous practices and of course in innumerable verses in Quran. Glad to see the organization list the verses and we have a list as well.

To clarify further, the Parliament of Worlds Religion defined its mission, which is akin to Pluralism as,

    “The Parliament of World’s religions is making a world of difference;
    – The council seeks to promote interreligious harmony, rather than unity
    – The council fosters convergence, rather than consensus
    – The council’s work is based on facilitation, rather than formal organizational structures.

Religious and spiritual communities can make a world of difference as they express their identity in relationship to other groups, while acting in service to the common and global good.”

On the other hand, pluralism has its origins in all religions, please do not forget, Pluralism is an attitude of respecting the otherness of others, and a reflection of verse 6 of Sura Kafirun,  which in essence is “your faith is dear to you as my faith is dear to me”.

Pluralism is firmly rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and practices of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). When Jesus embraced the lepers and the prostitutes; the socially rejected groups at that time, he conveyed a strong message that we are all part of the same creation. When Prophet Muhammad initiated the Madinah treaty he respected the otherness of other faiths, and confidently declared the validity of other faiths. Quraan adds in many places the guidance of God, whether you are a Jew, Christian or the other, you need not worry, God knows everything you do and compensates everyone who is good to his neighbors.

At the World Muslim congress, we see the role of a Muslim is to be a peace maker, one who seeks to mitigate conflicts and nurtures goodwill for peaceful co-existence of humanity. Just about every activity of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was embedded with those two elements. God wants us to live in peace and harmony with his creation; Life and Matter.

If you are in Dallas Fort Worth area, I urge you to check out the sitehttp://www.isb-dfw.org/training and take this course, even if you don’t want to be a speaker. On the other hand if you live any other city in the United States, consider initiating an office in your City, it is not already there.  Just Google it.

Jewish Woman Weds a New Thought Christian Man by a Muslim Officiant

Comments Off on Jewish Woman Weds a New Thought Christian Man by a Muslim Officiant

The bride and groom must be admired by one and all, in this divisive world, where people have difficulty in agreeing, and difficulty in getting along – they are setting a new standard, that of respecting each other’s uniqueness.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    SpeakerMikeGhouse@gmail.com

Jewish Woman Weds a New Thought Christian Man by a Muslim Officiant   Wedding in Dallas on Saturday Aug 25 2012

Officiant Mike Ghouse with Bride Rebekah and Groom Mark

Dallas, Texas – Not only are two special people being joined together, so are two spiritual traditions, as well. Out of different spiritual paths, they have come together to learn the best of what each has to offer, appreciating their differences, and confirming their love. So this is not only a joyous occasion, but a holy one, as well.  May they see that their love for each other is truly a gift from God.

The groom spent many years of his younger life in Hawaii so Mark and Rebekah wanted to include a few native rituals from the islands. The Hawaiian word for love is Aloha. Today we’ve come together to celebrate the special Aloha that exists between Mark and Rebekah and their desire to make their Aloha eternal through the commitment of marriage. When two people promise with Aloha in their hearts to share the adventure of life, it is a beautiful moment that they and all of us who are present today will always remember.

Since the bride is Jewish, Rebekah and Mark wanted to use the chuppah (canopy) as a symbol of the home that they will build together. It is open on all sides to welcome people in with unconditional hospitality. All of the attendees are the most important people in their lives, sharing their best and worst days and an irreplaceable part of their yesterdays, their today, and all of their tomorrows.

The couple gives and receives a precious gift from one another. It is the promise that they shall each continue to be deserving of the faith and trust that they place in one another as husband and wife. This responsibility is not taken lightly.

Almost nothing offers a greater possibility for happiness and living life well. When marriage works it justifies all the effort. Life is richer when experience is shared. We are more ourselves when we are responding to the stimulus of others, especially when we are responding to the gift of love. A truly loving relationship brings out the best in each other.

Blessed are life, health, and love, which enable us to enjoy the happiness of this beautiful day.

“May the sun bring you new energy by day.
May the moon softly restore you by night.
May the rain wash away your worries.
And may you live the days of your lives in peace, love, and happiness.”

    2016 Obama’s America – A disgustingly dishonest film

Comments Off on 2016 Obama’s America – A disgustingly dishonest film
     This is
clearly a propaganda movie, the right wing Republicans will buy anything that
is anti-Obama, and they probably swallow D’Souza relentless coaxing Obama’s
brother to tell him that Obama did not take care of his family. The film title
claims Love Him, Hate Him and you don’t know him. The producer forgot to show
the love him aspect, it is all hate him and lacks intellectual integrity by not
    presenting another point of view.

    No Jewish People without Israel

Comments Off on No Jewish People without Israel

Why the future of American Judaism as we know it depends on the survival of the Jewish state? This article is a must read for all those who want to understand Jews and Israel, it is one of the most comprehensive articles I have read and gives an insight into understanding Jews. The story is not only of Jewish people, but most other minorities can relate with this experience:
I have written my own piece at Huffington post – Who am I to worry about Israelis and Palestinians? What inspires me to be involved in the Israel Palestine conflict? The following is the story of my struggle to see a cohesive world, the story will take you through different emotions but at the end, I hope you feel a sense of completeness of the story. Due to its length, it is a three part article. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mike-ghouse/israel-and-palestine-moving-forward_b_1258261.html

Here are some of the most powerful excerpts from the article below.
The following Paragraph is precisely my understanding and reasons for the support of Israel, mind you not at the cost of Justice to Palestinians but with fairness to all the ones in the conflict.  I am baffled with the similarity of my articulation for the last several years and the following piece that has just appeared on August 20. 2012.
“That newfound confidence has historical antecedents, of course: American Jews’ confidence resembles that of the Jews of Cordoba—who were forcibly converted, burned alive at the stake, and summarily expelled in the Spanish Inquisition. The Jews of Berlin in 1930 also believed they had found the ultimate enlightened home, that the dark days of Europe would never return. And in the space of but a few years, German Jewry was erased.”
“In ways we do not sufficiently recognize, Israel has changed the existential condition of Jews everywhere, even in America. Without the State of Israel, the self-confidence and sense of belonging that American Jews now take for granted would quickly disappear.”
A home is where on drops all the guards and feels a sense of comfort and security. I have expressed the same sentiments in many of my writings including the one at this blog.
“Israel, like it or not, is not just a homeland to Israelis. It is also a “state unto the Diaspora”; the state that, even from afar, secures the life and instills the passions of Jews all over the world.”

Indeed, that is the case with most immigrants, they feel home where they were born and their ancestors came from. Most of the first generation Indians call India their home, like wise it is the same with British, Irish, Italian, German, Japanese, Pakistanis, Arabs, Mexicans, Chinese, Iraqis and others. For the first Generation of Jewish people after Israel was created, even though they were born here, Israel is home to them. It is the second generation and the ones after that whose sense of home is in America, the second generation continues to struggle but for the third generation and up – it is America first, America is home. There will be nothing else in their psyche, other than what would be injected into them.
“But then, as this thinking goes, if Israel refuses to budge, it is Israel that is responsible for the impasse. Faced with a choice between loyalty to their humanitarian values or to their parents’ Zionism, they have chosen the former.”

I love the above it, “Loyalty to their humanitarian values” – is a profound statement applicable to 2nd generation of Muslims, Jews, Immigrant Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Buddhists  and other immigrants. This is inherent in all humanity no matter where we live. I consider that an American Value. Unlike all other nations, Americans values are egalitarian, humanitarian and about treating others fairly and equitably. Its part of American psyche and I am blessed to have that sense flow through veins.
“Sensitive to the underdog everywhere, and with a deep-seated belief in fairness, they insisted and continue to insist upon balancing the scales. The Palestinians, they decided, needed a state.”

This is the core value of all religions, but a very passionate value of America. It is the case with all Americans who are born here. Indeed the follow paragraphs also represent Muslims, and other immigrants in America.

“But amazingly, 50 percent of those 35 years old and younger said that Israel’s destruction would not be a personal tragedy.”
“Ours is the first generation in which the centrality of Zion in Jewish dreams is beginning to fade. It is fading rapidly, and we know why. Part of it has to do with the fact that Israel’s supporters have framed the conversation about the Jewish State in terms of the conflict with the Palestinians. Even among knowledgeable and committed Jews, an oral Rorschach test in response to the word “Israel” evokes responses such as “checkpoints,” “occupation,” or “settlements”—as though the conflict were all that Israel is about.”
I hope a day will come in the world, where everyone feels home wherever they are. It is a two sided effort.  I am passionate about justice and freedom and Israel Palestine is an issue that I hope to contribute to bring security to Jews and justice to Palestinians.
