Proud of Indian Americans
It is a proud moment to see one of our own is managing Twitter’s policies, and I hope Facebook also hires someone like Vijaya Gadde to run its operations. Facebook has allowed extremists from among us.
A majority of Indian-Americans are free from bias and align with the American values of being fair and just with fellow humans. I know several who have rejected their parents’ ugly prejudices against African Americans, Dalits, Sikhs, Christians, and Muslims. DC has several of them.
However, we have a small number of Indian-Americans who align with the White Nationalists and extremists among Jews. Yes, they will not listen to anyone, but we should not give up on them. These creeps also practice caste bias here in our beautiful homeland. We should work on legislation to prevent biased people from having a seat at the high places to preserve the America we found when we came in the ’70s and ’80s.
