I welcome the call to work with Taliban, we have to work with every one to restore harmony and peace to the region. “Mother Teresa had made a profound statement, that is if you want to make with your enemies, go talk with them.” Those idiots who want wars, revenge and destruction must be punished; they are a danger to everyone.
The Indian friends of Afghanistan said this, “The proud, patriotic and brave people of Afghanistan have defeated every invading army and continue to fight forces of extremism and terrorism.”
It sounds like a political statement and the very people (Taliban) they are referring to are the forces of extremism.
Do 75000 plus Taliban represent the people of Afghanistan? Of course, the history is full of such narrations, but we are in the era of government of the people for the people by the people. Do the Talibans represent the will of the people of Afghanistan?
This is a good statement and must be repeated, “Peace, stability and ending the situation of strife are what Afghanistan needs the most today. This is the collective responsibility of all the internal stakeholders in Afghanistan and the international community, especially regional countries. Furthermore, we fear that the fires of terrorism, religious strife and regional turmoil could reach India if peace and stability elude Afghanistan.”
